Keith and inky: Hi Pete, so happy to see conditions in your favour for a change, well done and to you too Kim so hang in there. Willing you on and thinking of you with love as always.
Justin Smith: Howzit. It 's so good to be able to do things for others and not naval-gaze. I really get the outreach-nature of your venture and admire that. I pray your reaping will be abundant as you 've no doubt sown more than you 've imagined into people 's lives, challenging them to give and to consider their situations in comparison to the major life-achievment you 're busy with. I speak life and HOPE into you! Salutations, Mr Sea-body :-)
Terri Bezuidenhout: Pete. We are thinking of you, praying for you and the conditions. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. " Matt 11:28 Take care.

You are an inspiration out there, and you and Kim are never far from my thoughts. Checking you every day. Row like you know you can row, Pete!!!!! Go, go go!!!
Justin Smith: Howzit. Have been enjoying super clean conditions at Sunrise and Yellows. The sea has been magnificent. Also the amazing African full moon. I 'm sure an Atlantic full moon all night is good company too. Amy, our daughter has been lank keen to try make meals for Kim to ease things. Justin Smith: Hey Pete. You 're 90 minutes closer to Antigua! Last year when we ran a restaurant at the Grahamstown Festival we were grinding 7am to 12pm everyday, flatout on our feet. We had young people working with us and I explained this concept to them first... Then a couple of times a day I 'd cruise into the kitchen and shout "ARE WE HAVING FUN? " the only answer was a unanimous "YES!! " So 'Wild Mike ' tell the sea you 're HAVING FUN! You 've got everything you need in you to do this. The guy that won the duel over death lives in you! Take that MR More-Than-Conquerer Wild Mike :-)
Shelly, Richard and Sasha: Hi Pete, We have just read the ships blog. We cannot begin to imagine the strength you have! We are all behind you here in Antigua and are looking forward to the day you paddle in. Keep it up, you are not alone, our thoughts are with you each moment! You can do it!!! Shelly, Richard and Sasha
Dave Pattle: Peter. It has been a while since my last message. Know this I have been watching your progress every day. I am most disappointed that we could not talk the other day. BLOODY TRAINING. "You just have to endure." Those are your words. Focus on the small things. Wishing you all the very best. Toby
Lynne: Hey You are truly amazing - are you ever going to complain about something! Just read Bill's addition of 'news' to your site and it seems that the smell of home-sweet-home is in the air. Well done so far. PS - registered for Augrabies, so its Kim and I this year, so look forward to seeing you up in Augrabies again. Well done and chat soon I hope!
Thangam: Hi Pete, Ivan Lendl once said that when you are 2 sets down and facing a match point in Grand Slam Final, whether you win or not has little to do with physical ability and all to do with mental strength. He would know -- he came back from many a 'match point down' situation. What you have set out to do takes up so much of your physical being but here is what you should know: that we are in awe of your spirit and your determination. You are such an inspiration to so many people and will remain so long after this race is over. So keep at it Pete. You have all the makings of an ABSOLUTE winner. You will win this race: body, mind, spirit and soul. God bless. Thangam
Raymond Dibden: Hello pete, natalie du toit said that the tradegy of life is not in not reaching the stars but in not having stars to reach for. keep the strokes going one stroke at a time and the cold beer will soon be in your hand. bravo.....
Grant: Too much philosophy and not enough bloody afkakking will get us behind where we need to be! I only have limited internet now and expect to see you doing as well as you can each time I can acess some IT. Cmon Pete, keep us proud mate! (insert expletive here) All our love; Grant Caz and Shara
Riki: Hi Peter You have done well so far , keep the faith and accomplish your dream - God Bless You on this journey.
Jocelyn Brown: HI there I hope you are doing OK?!! I am a Geography teacher at Uplands college in White River, I hear you came and spoke to the kids here 2 years ago. I am originally from East London and saw your video of the first crossing - you are totally inspirational!! So, if you are feeling a bit low at the mo, especially with tendonitis, just Hang in there, YOU CAN DO IT!! My Geography classes and I are tracking your progress!! Kind regards Jocelyn Brown
Colleen Rose: Hi Peter I have been watching your progress every day - I look forward to coming in to the office every day to see how you have done over night. You are truly an inspiration - definitely one of those people who shine a light for the rest of us. What an amazing person! And how great it is to see how your family and friends support you. Keep it up - SA is proud of you!
Inky & Keith Kruger: Hi Pete just to let you know we are thinking of you and Kim and Hannah and checking your progress everyday - you are all AMAZING!!!! When i think of you three i always think Bravehearts - because Pete you are brave in what you are doing (maybe a little mad too) and Kim and Hannah are so very brave to be able to wait for you and you all have such big loving hearts - just ask any of your friends to see what i mean. So Pete Keep well and God Bless and lots of love Inky and Keith
Nick Pike: Amandla umlungu amandla. Show your opposition your umlungu power. Thought about you and said prayers for you for 2 hours and 39 minutes doing surfers marathon on a fishing ski last week end. May God grant you favor buddy. allabest. Nick Pike. East London
Alexander Paterson:
Howzit Pete Can see why you are doing it again. Just borrowed the dvd of the 2007/2008 race from Jules and Moose to drown out the blessed SE. The race looks frightening yet intoxicating. If you had wind like that lashing the southern hook of Africa tonight you would be there in a couple of days. Wishing some of it to blow from you rear - of the boat. And remember - weatherman are always wrong. Keep the blades dipping and rising, the humour flowing and the netherparts in repairable order. Sandy, Wendy, Ruby Lucy and the fat cats
Nigel and Sue Snelling:
Hello Peter this is a good luck message from Nigel and Sue who you met in Tenerife, having only met you for such a short time we was impressed with your challenge and your confidence which seems in abundance. I hope with this message we can spur you on for the last leg of your race as we have followed your progress and have every confidence in you winning. Which is more than I can say about your cricket team!!
Nic Moose Good: Hey Pete, been at sea too, and thought about u lots, looking forward to eating heaps of pudding together, actually, you can have mine too - love mooo
Esti: Hi Pete, I just read Ester Wiid\'s message. I need to add to that. When I met you and Kim (and Hannah) last year in St Francis, I was stunned with what you both have achieved so far. Since then I tried to follow both your careers, and every time I google results, I see how many people over 40 (or 50 or 60!) would participate and finish. Well, my sister of 55 challenged me to do the Addo with her (we will walk, not run!!!) Now, I have to be honest, my sister Lizette van der Merwe is a huge motivation in my life, but right next to her are Pete and Kim - your dedication, professionalism, DEURSETTINGSVERMOE, the example you are setting - every day when I put on my shoes, my thoughts are with Row-Pete-Row! 90 minutes closer to Kim and Hannah! Keep up the good work, we are all so proud of you! Esti
Julie, Dylan and Tai:
Hi Pete, We are sending you big love from Canada. We think of you out there everyday! We are behind you and wishing you another safe crossing. Tai is old enough now to follow your path on the map this time:) Can\'t wait to see you guys in August when we are in SA. Love, Julie, Dylan and Tai
Caroline & Robert:

Keep safe & smiling and as always keep clipped on as we have the rubbish weather now in Gomera! Love Caroline & Robert x
Laura:

Was lucky enough to bump into Kim at Surfer\'s on Saturday, was great to see her, that\'s one amazing lady you have rooting for you!! Keep up the amazing work, you\'re going great guns!!! Go Pete GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Russell Stone:

Shane Roach:
Hey Pete Good to hear your voice on radio Tuesday. We have have been mustering a bit of support to celebrate 1/2 way passing next weekend. Hope to talk to you Sat 20th. Bill G & I spoke to BNI group Friday and raised R4.3k on sms. Thanks for supporting CDT - good cause. Well done Shane R
Caroline & Robert:
Pete, what you are doing is awesome both from a physical challenge and from a charity perspective. You \"Own your life\" and are living it! We know there is more weather coming in at the weekend, coz it will arrive with us next week! but you thrive on challenges. Accept the conditions & ride it through. Every day you get further from Gomera, closer to Antigua & your family and more money for your fund raising target. Relish the journey & keep smiling and as always keep safe & clipped on! Life can be too short sometimes! Love Caroline & Robert x
Kevin Record:
Hey Pete Hope alls going well and wishing you all the best from the Ibo team.
Father John: Dear Pete, I\'ve just been sitting outside Sportsman Warehouse listening to you chat with Simon on 702.Apart from being gripping radio - I felt personally challenged by your story and encouraged by the humilty and focus of your words. There was no sense of reckless bravado or even matcho bragging - just a common sense commitment and \'ownership\' of what you were doing. Infact the phrase you used several times of \'taking ownership of your life\' I think is is critical, So many of us live our lives through others, through how things might have been and even of course a projected idea of God\'s will. I intend to keep you in my mind (prayers) in a way which will strengthen my resolve to live with the moment and own who I am at each moment. I\'m sincerely grateful for the inspiration. Go well and enjoy the ride! Fr.John Cape Town
Kit Brindley: Hello Pete, Just heard your talk with Simon on 702 God Bless...will keep you in our prayers. Boat looks awesome. Cheers
Colleen: I have just heard you on 702 and I just salute your bravery and zest for life. Good luck!
Jason Norwood: Merry Christmas Pete! I\'m holding thumbs that the weather\'s going to hold up this time so you can get going. The low pressure cells from the Northern Atlantic are also effecting our flying conditions here in Algeria, giving us many sandstorms & strong winds to deal with. GO HARD!!! Regards J
Brian Louw: Hi Pete....so sorry to hear about another delay..you must be frantically !@#$%^$#@-off and I can\'t imagine how very frustrated you must be.....Let\'s trust that this is all in Gods\' plan and that when you head off, all the waiting will have been worth it and that you will be strong as an ox....be blessed Brian
Paul Keir: Hi Pete, Rooting for you. Will follow your progress when you finally on the way and keep in touch. All the best Paul
Jaco Ferreira: Hi Pete. This is Jaco Ferreira, I\'ve been a personal trainer to Charlie Pitcher while I were in London, and he told me all about you as well, you\'ve probably heard something about me from him as well. Just wanted to say all the best of luck for you too, all my support is behind you as well because we are fellow countrymen, although I don\'t really know you yet. But as South Africans, there are nothing we can\'t do in this world! And I am behind you holding up our name. So, although I became very good friends with Charlie and gave him some of our secrets (biltong as one of them) I would hope all the best of luck be with both of you. Hope all goes well and hopefully we can meet one day. Regards Jaco.

Keep a clear mind and focus on the finish, everything in-between has already been written Best Regards, Will (East London)

Christo: Hi Pete I attended your talk at Capestorm last year(?) and heard about your latest plans on Cape Talk Radio. It's an awesome undertaking and I just wanted to wish you and your family well. There is one additional item for your list of things to take along: the peace of Table Mountain. (Space required: nil. Mass: nil. Value: who knows?) I believe in different levels of spirituality. Like you my life has its bedrock in Christ, though it's not something I often proclaim. Perhaps because to me God is closer as the Father and Creator of all. Being really immersed in nature brings that home for me ... feeling an integral part of creation. I think you may understand when I say that the mountain with its peace and relative timelessness has been an anchor for me in times when I found the here and now of life tiresome and threatening. The mountain takes everything thrown at it, survives and thrives, and will be there long after we have gone. I don't expect it to make any sense, but who knows what the mind comes up with on the night of say Day 67/68? :-) All the best. May it turn out to be all the experience you have dreamt it to be, and with no serious mishap or injury. Hamba kahle Christo Steyn
Cathy Koetsier: Hey Pete!!! Holding all my thumbs and toes for you buddy! Can't believe you are really doing it again. Since we met at La Gomera harbour in early December we have returned home to enjoy unusually cold weather (-10 to -15 for several weeks in Oslo) with plenty of snow. Which is good for cross-country skiing, but probably not for rowing. Please do not navigate too far to the north! Hope you will have a good start on Jan. 4th! We will follow you on your website all the way to Antigua. Good luck and best regards from Ellen and Bjoern

Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
