Pete arrived safely in Antigua, after 76 days at sea, on South Africa’s Human Rights Day (21 March 2010). Although he placed second in the solo class, he was thirteenth in the fleet and becomes the first African to row the Atlantic solo, and to row it as a pair and do it again as a solo.
